Physiotherapist's Details
Russ has developed and trained special interest and skills in vestibular physiotherapy (vertigo, dizziness, and post-concussion). He also particularly enjoys the challenge of treating uncommon or atypical musculoskeletal/orthopedic conditions and injuries, and developing innovative approaches to address unique or complex situations. He takes a global approach to therapy, considering the biomechanics of the whole body as well as other lifestyle factors in order to determine and correct the source of dysfunction. He has taken additional training in advanced dry needling, spinal manipulation, GLA:D hip and knee, NKT, FMS, modern manual therapy, TMJ dysfunction, and many more.
In partnership with the Kinesis Medical Group of Physiatrists, Russ is involved in developing and implementing collaborative clinical models to reduce wait times and improve patient outcomes, in order to reduce strain on the public healthcare system.
On the weekends you can often find Russ climbing, camping, or paddling when it’s warm, or playing guitar and watching bad movies with his cats Spike and Dru when it’s cold.
