She is one of a few practitioners in Alberta certified for both pediatrics and adults in DNS - Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization. Her goal with physiotherapy is to help people self treat and make practical changes to their lifestyle and everyday tasks, so pain and dysfunction can be managed or eliminated. Powerful tools about posture, sleep positions, work station set up, and prevention strategies are incorporated into treatments that evaluate joints, muscles and the nervous system.
Besides treating pain and injury, her interests include:
- pediatric care (newborn evaluations and neuro-developmental milestone screens, scoliosis, ADHD and autism sensory integration, childhood pain and injury, DNS certified - see rehapbs.com for more information about DNS, craniosacral therapy)
- senior care (general wellness and mobility coaching, osteoporosis, fall prevention, arthritis and pain management, post surgical rehabilitation)
- lifestyle coaching and hands on techniques to improve relaxation due to stress. Stress management is crucial since stress affects the physical body and pain levels in many ways.
- Concussion care and management.
Mary Lynne competes on a dragon boat team, plays music and enjoys hiking. She has raised four children and works with her husband operating Midnapore Health Centre as well as Midnapore Physical therapy for over 30 years.
