Physiotherapist's Details
Jennifer utilizes an individualized approach to physiotherapy treatment that combines manual therapy, dry needling, exercise prescription, therapeutic electrical modalities, and education. She is experienced in managing a wide variety of conditions such as muscle and ligament strains and sprains, sport injuries, osteoarthritis, whiplash, and post-surgical rehab. She has additional training in treating complex spine and radiating nerve pain, acute and chronic knee injury management, and is certified through WorkWell to perform functional capacity evaluations.
Jennifer has completed her Advanced Integrated Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Diploma through the Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy (FCAMPT). She is a registered mentor for students within the program. She is a volunteer clinical instructor for University of Alberta physiotherapy students undergoing required orthopaedic rotations. Jennifer was a Delphi conference participant in the 2022 MSK Acute Knee Injury Assessment Initiative (through the Bone and Joint Health Strategic Clinical Network). Project goals included improving knee care access, way finding, and consistency of care for patients in Alberta. Jennifer was previously a member of the Knee Clinic Team and later held a Team Lead position in collaboration with Banff Sport Medicine which involved weekly assessment and research data collection of post-operative knee surgeries including ACL and MPFL reconstructions (2017-2021).
Outside of the clinic, Jennifer participates in a variety of athletic activities including downhill and cross country skiing, mountain biking, volleyball, golfing, and hiking.
