Ashley was trained in Australia and obtained his PhD and pursued his postdoctoral studies there also. His fellowship in manual therapy and Physiotherapy Specialization designation were obtained in Canada, showing that he is passionate about physiotherapy and leaves no stone unturned in finding the right treatment for each person that presents to Vivo Cura Health. Their unique collaborative and multidisciplinary initial evaluations allows people to be provided with an accurate diagnosis, prognosis and treatment plan that is individualized to their specific needs. Ashley is affiliated with both the University of Calgary and McMaster University, and collaborates with dozens of researchers internationally, allowing him to be a productive researcher, with over 50 publications and multiple grants to further investigate whiplash injury, chronic pain mechanisms, orthobiologics (platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and BMAC)) and non-invasive brain stimulation. Outside of his physiotherapy interests, he enjoys spending time with his family, both here and back in Australia, especially when it involves being active in nature.
