Part-time/Full-time Physiotherapist

Ignite Physiotherapy

Full-Time
302-316 Windermere Road NW Posted September 3, 2026

Job Description

Ignite Physiotherapy is looking for an experienced Physiotherapist to join our growing team in Edmonton.

We’re looking for a physiotherapist who enjoys getting to know their patients, thinking critically about what is driving their symptoms, and providing thoughtful, individualized care. At Ignite, our model is built around longer appointment times, one-on-one treatment, active rehabilitation, and giving clinicians the time and autonomy to provide the kind of care they believe their patients need.

This is an independent contractor position with flexible hours available across our Windermere and Ellwood Drive locations. Both morning and evening hours are available, and there is an opportunity to start part-time and gradually build your caseload.

Our caseload is primarily orthopaedic and sports physiotherapy, with a wide variety of active individuals and everyday musculoskeletal conditions. Experience in orthopaedic and sports rehabilitation is important, while dry needling and concussion rehabilitation experience are considered assets.

Because this is an independent position and you may not always be working alongside another physiotherapist, we are looking for someone with previous clinical experience who is comfortable assessing patients, developing treatment plans, and managing their caseload independently.

At the same time, we don’t believe independence should mean practicing in isolation. Mentorship, collaboration and ongoing clinical discussion are important parts of our clinic culture. We want our clinicians to feel comfortable asking questions, discussing challenging cases, sharing ideas, and continuing to develop their clinical skills.

You may be a great fit for Ignite if you:

Enjoy spending meaningful one-on-one time with your patients.
Are curious and like figuring out why someone is experiencing pain or difficulty rather than simply treating where it hurts.
Value exercise, movement and active rehabilitation.
Enjoy working with an active orthopaedic and sports population.
Are personable and value building strong relationships with your patients.
Are comfortable working independently while also enjoying collaboration with other clinicians.
Want autonomy in how you assess and treat your patients.
Are motivated to develop and grow your own caseload.
Value mentorship, continuing education and ongoing professional development.

Our clinics offer private treatment rooms, dedicated gym/exercise space, online booking and locations within busy Edmonton neighborhoods. Scheduling is flexible, with both morning and evening opportunities available between our two locations.

This position offers competitive independent contractor compensation with the opportunity to grow alongside the clinic.

Applicants must be registered and in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Alberta and eligible to practice physiotherapy in Alberta.

About the Company

Ignite Physiotherapy was created around a simple idea: physiotherapists should have the time to actually do physiotherapy.

We believe great care starts with listening to our patients, understanding the whole picture, and figuring out what is actually contributing to the problem.

Our appointments are intentionally longer and one-on-one. We don’t book physiotherapists with multiple patients at the same time, and we don’t build treatment plans around passive modalities. Instead, our clinicians have the time to assess, treat, reassess and develop individualized rehabilitation plans that help patients understand their bodies and get back to the things that matter to them.

Our approach is active, evidence-informed and relationship-focused. We believe physiotherapy should involve thoughtful assessment, hands-on treatment when appropriate, exercise and movement, education, and a clear plan forward.

Just as importantly, we want Ignite to be a great place to practice physiotherapy.

We value clinical autonomy, curiosity, collaboration and continued learning. Our physiotherapists aren’t expected to follow a rigid treatment formula. We want clinicians who think critically, continue developing their skills, learn from one another, and bring their own strengths and interests to the team.

Ignite is a growing Edmonton physiotherapy clinic with locations in Windermere and Ellwood Drive. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for the right physiotherapist to grow with us—someone who cares deeply about their patients, enjoys being part of a collaborative team, and wants the freedom to provide high-quality care without feeling rushed.
