Job Description

Want to become an even better physiotherapist?

Avenue Physio is looking for a physiotherapist who loves what they do, values great patient care and wants to continue growing — clinically, professionally and potentially into leadership.

We are a well-established downtown Calgary clinic with more than 40 years in the community. Our team provides one-on-one physiotherapy in a collaborative environment where clinical reasoning, ongoing learning and excellent patient experiences matter.

Is this you?

• You love being a physiotherapist and genuinely enjoy connecting with your patients.
• You want the time to understand your patients, their goals and their personal “why.”
• You want to keep learning and become an even stronger, more confident clinician.
• You value strong clinical reasoning, manual therapy and exercise-based rehabilitation.
• You want regular mentorship and the opportunity to learn from experienced physiotherapists.
• You enjoy being part of a collaborative team that learns from and supports one another.
• You want opportunities to grow your career, whether through clinical expertise, mentoring others or leadership.

About the Company

About Avenue Physio

Avenue Physio, formerly Fifth Ave Physio, has been part of downtown Calgary for more than 40 years. We recently moved into a bright, modern clinic in Stephen Avenue Place.

Our clientele is predominantly active professionals, with a relatively small percentage of WCB and MVA patients. We have built an exceptional reputation by providing individualized care and creating an experience that keeps patients coming back and referring their friends and family. We are proud to have more than 600 five-star Google reviews.

We are looking for someone who wants to become an important part of our next chapter.

Additional Information

What We Offer

An environment where you can become a better physiotherapist
We take professional development seriously. You will work alongside experienced clinicians, discuss challenging cases, strengthen your clinical reasoning and continue developing your assessment, manual therapy, exercise prescription and patient-management skills. Our goal is that you continue to grow throughout your time at Avenue, no matter where you are starting from.

Structured mentorship
Regularly scheduled mentorship in manual therapy, clinical reasoning, IMS/dry needling, exercise prescription, caseload development and patient management, along with individual coaching.

Time to provide great care
60-minute initial assessments and 30-minute follow-up appointments, one-on-one with your patient.

A path to leadership
For the right person, this position can grow beyond a clinical caseload. We want to develop future leaders within Avenue Physio, with opportunities to mentor other physiotherapists, contribute to clinical development, take ownership of areas within the clinic and move into greater leadership responsibilities over time.

Clinical growth
Develop your own area of interest or become involved in established areas including vestibular rehabilitation, concussion management, pelvic health, osteoarthritis programs and complex musculoskeletal care.

Competitive compensation
Option to begin with hourly compensation while building your caseload and transition to a commission-based model.

Annual education allowance

Gym membership

An exceptional support team
Our administrative team allows our physiotherapists to focus on their patients and their clinical work.

A team we enjoy being part of
Monthly team lunches, team events and a supportive group of people who work hard, care about what they do and enjoy working together.

Who We Are Looking For

Ideally, you have some clinical experience and a strong interest in orthopaedic and musculoskeletal physiotherapy.

Experience or postgraduate training in manual therapy is an asset, but we are equally interested in physiotherapists who are motivated to develop these skills. Training in dry needling, IMS or acupuncture is also an asset.

More importantly, we are looking for someone who is curious, motivated, personable and committed to becoming an excellent clinician.

If you are looking for a clinic where you can become a better physiotherapist, build a great caseload and have opportunities to grow beyond it, we would love to meet you.
