Goal Getter Contest Rules

Welcome to the Goal Getter Contest! We’re excited to help you on your journey toward achieving your health goals. Before entering, please take a moment to review the official contest rules.

By participating in the contest, you agree to be bound by these rules.

1. Contest Sponsor

This contest is sponsored by Alberta Association of Physiotherapy (AAP), 9218 Ellerslie Rd SW #220, Edmonton, AB T6X 0K6, Alberta, Canada.

2. Eligibility
  • The contest is open to legal residents of Alberta, Canada, who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry.
  • Employees, agents, or representatives of the Alberta Association of Physiotherapy, Anthem Creative, and their immediate family members, are not eligible to participate in the contest.
  • The contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, and municipal laws. Void where prohibited.
  • No purchase is necessary to enter or win.
3. Contest Period

The Contest Period begins at Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at 12:00am MST and ends at Saturday, November 30, 2024 at 11:59pm MST. Entries received after the Contest Period will not be accepted.

4. How to Enter

Participants can enter by visiting the contest landing page at goalgetter.albertaphysio.com and declaring their health goal by submitting the form during the Contest Period.

  • One entry per person. Multiple entries will be disqualified.
  • No purchase necessary to enter the contest.
  • Entries that do not adhere to the contest rules may be disqualified at the sole discretion of Alberta Association of Physiotherapy.
5. Prize

The winner of the contest will receive an Apple Watch Ultra 2 or a fitness tracker of their choice of equivalent value (up to CAD $1,100).

  • The prize must be accepted as awarded. No cash or prize substitutions are permitted except at the discretion of Alberta Association of Physiotherapy.
  • The prize is non-transferable.
  • Acceptance of the prize constitutes permission for Alberta Association of Physiotherapy to use the winner’s name and likeness for advertising purposes without further compensation, unless prohibited by law.
6. Odds of Winning

The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received during the Contest Period.

7. Winner Selection and Notification

The winner will be selected by a random draw from all eligible entries received during the Contest Period. The draw will take place within 7 days of the contest end date.

  • The selected winner will be notified via email within 2 days of the draw.
  • The winner must correctly answer a skill-testing question to claim the prize.
  • If the selected winner does not respond within 5 days or is found ineligible, the prize may be forfeited, and an alternate winner will be selected.
8. Claiming the Prize

The winner must provide proof of Alberta residency and complete a Declaration of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity Release within 5 of being notified.

Failure to comply with these conditions will result in forfeiture of the prize and another winner will be selected.

9. Use of Personal Information

By entering, participants consent to the collection and use of their personal information for the purpose of administering this contest. Personal information will be handled in accordance with Alberta’s privacy laws.

Participants also agree to allow Alberta Association of Physiotherapy to use their name, likeness, and declared health goal in promotional materials for this campaign and future campaigns, unless prohibited by law.

10. Social Media Platforms

This contest is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook, Instagram, X, or any other social media platform.

Participants release these platforms from any responsibility or liability related to the contest.

11. Public and Private Physiotherapy

No referral is required to see a private physiotherapist in Alberta. Private physiotherapists are readily accessible and offer flexible appointment options. For public physiotherapy services under Alberta Health Services (AHS), there may be longer wait times. Please check your health insurance coverage to see if physiotherapy services are included.

12. General Conditions

Alberta Association of Physiotherapy reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the contest if any fraud, technical issues, or unforeseen factors affect the fairness or proper conduct of the contest.

Alberta Association of Physiotherapy reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who tampers with the contest process or violates these rules.

13. Limitation of Liability

By entering, participants agree to release Alberta Association of Physiotherapy, its employees, and representatives from any liability, injury, or damage resulting from their participation in the contest or the acceptance, possession, or use of the prize.

14. Disputes

This contest is governed by the laws of Alberta and Canada. All disputes related to the contest will be resolved in the courts of Alberta. Under no circumstances will participants be allowed to claim punitive or consequential damages.

15. Privacy Policy

Any personal data collected during the contest will be handled in compliance with Alberta Association of Physiotherapy’s privacy policy, available at Privacy Policy.
