Job Description
PEACE RIVER PHYSICAL THERAPY LTD. O/A Grande Prairie Physiotherapy & Massage is now hiring Permanent Full-time Registered Physiotherapist for Grande Prairie (Primary Location) and Peace River (Secondary Location) area.
Duties include:

• Assess patients' physical abilities through evaluative procedures such as functional ability tests

• Establish treatment goals with patients based on physical diagnoses

• Plan and implement programs of physiotherapy including therapeutic exercise, manipulations, massage, education, the use of electro-therapeutic and other mechanical equipment and hydrotherapy
• Evaluate effectiveness of treatment plans and modify accordingly

• Provide advice on exercise and strategies to implement at home to enhance and or maintain treatment
• Communicate with referring physician and other health care professionals regarding patients' problems, needs and progress
• Maintain clinical and statistical records and confer with other health care professionals

• Develop and implement health promotion programs for patients, staff and the community

Wage rate: Wages range $44 - $45 per hour for 35 to 40 hours work per week

Two weeks paid time off per year

Education and Employment Requirements: Must be a License and active registration with a regulatory body in Alberta. With a university degree in Physiotherapy and completed a period of supervised practical training is required.

Benefits: Extended Health Care Benefits offered after 3 months of Employment.

- Education:
Master’s degree in Physiotherapy (MPT) from a Canadian university OR equivalent international degree assessed as comparable by Canadian Alliance of Physiotherapy Regulators (CAPR).

License/Certification:
Must be eligible for registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Alberta.

Language of work: English
