Job Description

6-Month Opportunity | Full-Time or Part-Time | November 2026 Start

Ready for a change of pace? Build your career, explore rural Alberta, and enjoy a little lakeside living!

Performance Physiotherapy in Stettler, Alberta, is looking for a physiotherapist to join our team for a six-month temporary position beginning in November. Whether you’re a new graduate ready to launch your career or an experienced therapist looking for something different, we’d love to hear from you!

WHY STETTLER? WHY NOW?

Performance offers a fun rural opportunity with real benefits. Stettler is nestled in the heart of central Alberta, less than an hour from both Red Deer and Camrose. Try out the benefits of small-town living (think competitive pay with low cost of living and a more relaxed pace) without a long term commitment.

Potential student loan forgiveness. This rural practice opportunity qualifies for government student loan forgiveness, making it an especially attractive option for eligible new graduates and therapists with student debt.

We’ll help you find a place to call home. Relocating for a temporary position doesn’t have to be complicated! We can explore accommodation options in town or out at the lake, including potential house-sharing or house-sitting arrangements while seasonal residents are away.

A great fit for new grads and experienced clinicians alike. Whether you’re starting your physiotherapy career or bringing valuable experience to the team, this is an opportunity to broaden your horizons and enjoy a different practice setting.  We have recently celebrated our 20 year anniversary serving Stettler and surrounding communities and can guarantee a full time caseload is ready and waiting for you to take it over.

A very unique working environment.  In conjunction with the multidisciplinary clinic, our 24 hour commercial gym makes exercise prescription easy and fun.  We offer a huge variety of programs and specialty services, no micromanagement, yet ample flexibility, mentorship opportunities and support to create your own personal niche.  60 min assessments and 30 min follow ups, give us time to give clients quality care.  We also provide the latest in technology support including Shockwave, AI note taking, and Kinetisense 3D motion capture!  Our close knit team includes both young, passionate professionals as well as more senior providers, each with individual areas of interest and post graduate education. These include pelvic health, GunnIMS, TCM acupuncture, manual therapy, custom orthotics, STOTT Pilates, Mulligan, McKenzie techniques and more.

YOUR NEXT ADVENTURE COULD START HERE!

Looking for a rewarding short-term position, a rural experience, or a way to make a dent in your student loans while discovering a new community? Let’s talk!
