Registered Physiotherapist – Permanent Full-Time

Employer: PEACE RIVER PHYSICAL THERAPY LTD. O/A Grande Prairie Physiotherapy & Massage

Location: Unit 103, 9725 98 Avenue, Grande Prairie, Alberta T8V 8K5

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-Time

Hours: 35–40 hours per week

Wage: $46.00 per hour

Language of Work: English

Start Date: As soon as possible

Benefits: Extended health care benefits after 3 months of employment, including dental care and vision care. Two weeks of paid vacation per year.

Job Duties:

The Registered Physiotherapist will:

Assess patients’ physical abilities through evaluative procedures, including functional ability testing.
Establish treatment goals with patients based on physical assessment and diagnosis.
Plan and implement physiotherapy treatment programs, including therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, patient education, and the appropriate use of electrotherapeutic and other therapeutic equipment.
Evaluate the effectiveness of treatment plans and modify treatment as clinically appropriate.
Provide patients with advice regarding exercises and strategies to implement at home to enhance or maintain treatment outcomes.
Communicate with referring physicians and other health care professionals regarding patients’ conditions, needs and progress, as appropriate.
Maintain accurate clinical and statistical records.
Confer with other health care professionals regarding patient care when required.
Develop and participate in health promotion and patient education programs.
Education and Professional Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Physiotherapy, or an equivalent internationally educated entry-to-practice physiotherapy qualification.

Must be registered and licensed with the College of Physiotherapists of Alberta, or be eligible to obtain the registration/licence required to practise physiotherapy in Alberta.

Experience: Experience is an asset; however, qualified new graduates who meet the applicable Alberta registration/licensing requirements are encouraged to apply.
